HPILF
Grants: HPILF
summer grants are primarily meant for applicants with financial
need arising from their employer's inability to fund summer
work. Applicants must articulate how their summer work will
serve the public interest. HPILF uses a broad definition of
public interest when determining which applicants and organizations
are eligible for funding. Students working with organizations
including 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, government agencies,
international organizations, and advocacy or policy groups
are all eligible. HPILF does not fund students working in
for-profit enterprises or on political campaigns.
Grant recipients are required to complete
five (5) hours of volunteer time with HPILF, either before
the end of the spring semester 2007 or during the 2006-2007
academic year. If the recipient has already performed 5 hours
of service to HPILF this year, the requirement will be deemed
fulfilled.
