HPILF
Brown Bag Series
Are informal educational events hosted monthly by HPILF.
Attorneys practicing public interest law in the Bay Area
are invited to come speak about public interest law issues.
Some topics we are hoping to address include: Care Not Cash
Initiative, Recall Election, CA Drug Policy, and the Death
Penalty.
Envisioning
Public Interest is an event HPILF hosted
every year, co-sponsored by Career Services. Envisioning
Public Interest is a panel discussion of public interest
attorneys practicing in various different fields.
These attorneys talk about their experiences working
in the public interest legal field, and how they have
managed to "hold onto the dream." This year,
Envisioning Public Interest will be held on October
19, 2005 at 6:00pm in Room J.
HPILF
Auction is our annual night of fun, food
and music, which will be held on February 2, 2006.
Hastings students, alumni, professors, staff and community
members attend and bid on donations from students,
professors and community businesses. All money earned
goes directly to Hastings students working for the
public interest. The 2005 HPILF auction raised over
$20,000.
